Lyrics:
Saw you (oh) the other day
Shorty - she was all the way
Looked like you were feeling me
So I had to come and see
Girly wasn't trying to hate
But she had to demonstrate (that)
She was the queen to be
But she couldn't fight the chemistry
And I say (I....)
I can't lose you (I....) whoa...
Chorus (part 1):
She was disco lights on the Friday night
She moves across the floor
She was oh so tight like dynamite
Blowin' me up with her love
Chorus (part 2):
She was on the phone with me all night long
I just can't get enough
She was uh uh oh, uh uh oh
Blowin' me up with her love
uh uh uh uh uh, uh uh uh uh uh
uh uh uh uh uh, uh uh uh uh uh
Girl, it's just a sexy way
You've back yourself into me
You're more than just a pretty face
You're better than a fantasy
Come on, baby, don't ignore me
I know what you're feeling for me
You can't fight it 'cuz you want me
Don't you miss this or you'll be sorry
So, tell me what it's gonna be (so tell me what it's gonna be)
Got me all bent out of shape (got me all bent out of shape)
Thinking 'bout you all day (thinking 'bout you all day)
So why you gonna make me wait? (come on, babe)
I say (I....)
I can't lose you (I....) whoa...
Chorus (part 1 & 2) x 2
There's just something about you, baby
It's taking me over. I want you alone
oh. oh. oh. oh. oh. oh. oh. oh. oh. oh. oh.
Now it's going tonight
She took all control
Turned off all the lights
She said, 'Don't you want to -oh.."
nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh ------
Tell a story, she was leaning on me
Gettin' horny, maybe wicked naughty
Look at shorty, she was leaning on me
Gettin' horny, maybe wicked naughty
Chorus (part 2)
Chorus (part 1)
Chorus (part 2)
nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh -----
-- moves across the floor
nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh -----
-- whoa, baby. I can't get enough, babe
Chorus (part 1 & 2) whoa...
[end]
*note: I chose to put "wicked naughty" instead of "we'll get naughty" on the last verse before all the chorus repeats, because JC wore a shirt that had those words on the front (Wicked Naughty). Since there are no 'true' (not fan-based) lyrics published anywhere, you can choose which ones you want to use.
Overall, as his first post-NSync solo song, JC did a great job. I was surprised he didn't write anything for Justin Timberlake (and vice versa), but that's just the way it goes.
Lyrically, the words flowed well. The first verse was more witty than the second. The melody - three parts - worked. The music accompaniment was unique; it was different than his previous works (and different than his Schizophrenic work). On the Schizophrenic album, the song as a whole was in a class of its own. If that album is considered mainly one revolving around sex, this song definitely has the undertones but also has the fun / thrill of the chase and surface emotion (whether it be attraction, lust, intrigue, love, or a mixture).
