Lyrics:

Oh hey

Here we go
Riprock, AG, BNG
Chapter one
Tell 'em how the story goes

Every little thing that you said was true
I believed in you
But it wasn't meant to be
(It wasn't meant to be)
'Cause every little thing that you promised me
(Promises, promises)
Wasn't honestly what you said it would be yeah
And I swear
You'll never learn
So I'm givin' you what you deserve
(What you deserve)

Chorus:
You've been living in a fantasy (fantasy)
If you think that you could be with me (be with me)
You tried
Denied
And now you've got to move on babe
Took a chance when you rolled the dice
Messed around but you didn't think twice (think twice)
What's done is done
I want you out of my life (that's right)

Every time the phone rings, it's in your eyes
That you wear a disguise
Oh who could it be (who could it be)
Now you think you can just take me back
But I'll never go back (I'll never go back)
To what we used to be
('cause it just ain't the same)
And you say
You've changed 'cause you've cried
But it's time for me to draw the line
(Time for me to draw the line)

Chorus

I want you out of my life
Riprock, AG, BNG
I want you out of my life

Chorus x 2

This was one of JC's first "outside" projects (for Boyz N Girlz United).  It's good to see diversity, and he writes from a "girl's point of view" rather well.  Because the group is co-ed, this song could have been a "he said, she said" tale, but it seems more like two similar views of broken hearts.

Although this song is lyrically superior to its melody, it could have been improved as well.

First verse (starting with "Every little thing that you said") is confusing.  It was true but not what it was said it would be?  It sounds more like the singer(s)' view point is that they weren't willing to accept what was given to them even if it was all that the other person could give them.  It would be easier to say that "every little thing you said was a lie, but I believed in you" or the promises were broken.  The rest of the verses make more sense.

The chorus could have been stronger, with emphasizing the "delusion" of the broken relationship.

Grade (on a 5-point scale):
Lyrics:  3.0
Music:  2.7
Overall:  2.8
